By Cora

Check out this pictures from our experiment today!!!

We made a mixture of sawdust and shavings and water!!!

We did such a great job taking turns during the experiment!

After we mixed those 3 things we strained out the water!

Then we put the wet sawdust and shavings mixture on a plate!

We talked about how the wood is waterlogged! When do you think it will dry??

Then we made entries in our science journals!

How are sawdust and shavings the same?

How are they different?

And of course Cora did some great math during play time!!

I had a great day!!  I played with chalk for play time.  I did read to self at daily 5.  We talked about wood.  We did an experiment with sawdust and shavings.  We made a mixture.  We used a strainer to get the water out.  It was wet.  I think it will take a long time to dry.  I will see you tomorrow!

Science looks like lots of fun today! You'll have to let me know how long it took to dry! Nice job Cora, on your 100 + 100 = 200. That's a pretty high addition problem. Mrs. Haas' class has some pretty smart kiddos :-) Have a good day!!!

Love ya,
(Cora's)Grandma XOXO

Wow, what a fun experiment! I can't wait to hear how long it took to dry. I love to hear about all of the observations you make and the words and pictures you include in your science journals. Great job on your chalkboard math, Cora!

Hello to Mrs. Haas" Kindergarten class.

This is the first time I am posting this year but I love to hear about all of the fun and exciting things you are doing from Cora everyday. You all know Mrs. Haas is the best kindergarten teacher in the world so you really lucked out this year. Cora tells me about all of her awesome friends in her class too.

I know you have been having a tough week this week Cora but I am very proud of you and how much your learning so far this year. You are doing great and I love you very much. Be a good listener today.

Love, Dad
