Today we had an astronaut day! We had math. We learned about the nickel. It is worth 5 and it looks gray. It has Jefferson on it. And there's a special building on it, the Monticello. We learned about the astronauts. Before snack, we learned about the astronauts. They need protective suits so they are safe in space. They need a rope tied to them because there's no gravity. They need helmets to breathe in space because there's not one single drop of air! We did a astronaut project. Mrs. Haas will read a riddle and we have to try to figure out which picture to color. It had to rhyme. On Thursday it's early release and wacky hair day. We had a very astronaut, fun day!

How fun! Astronaut day sounds really cool! Caden's uncle Jeff is a science teacher and always talks about his dream to be an astronaut! :) over the weekend we used our telescope to look at the stars, it was really cool! Hope you all had a great day!!

Learning about space is out of this WORLD fun! Who knows . . . how many planets are BETWEEN our planet & the sun??? (Careful! It's a tricky question) I can't wait to see all the wacky hair on Thursday -- especially Mrs. Haas! ;-)
It sounds like you all are learning so much about space! Do any of you want to be a astronaut one day? I read a book to Nolan about the plants. Did you know Uranus and Neptune do not have solid ground like earth. They are blue in color and are made up of many gases. Do you think you could fly through them? That would be pretty cool!
