Today we had a cute day! We did a little bit of math. We traced our foot and then we measured things and we got to go around the room and measure stuff. You can't just go 1 2 3 4 5 or slide it, you have to put it in one spot and then put a finger there and then go ahead of it, that's how you do it. We learned on the smart board and we saw a movie that is called Tacky the Penguin. We learned about penguins. They are birds that don't fly. Some penguins are like as tall as Caden and some of the other penguins are smaller than all the others. Lots of penguins live in antarctica where it's freezing! We watched our Hat play during snack time. Bear week is next. We had fun today at school!

Wow what a fun day! Measuring is a very important skill to have. You use it for so many things like building things, how far away something is, sewing, and even cooking. Hope to see you all Sat. afternoon at the party. Bring lots of smiles.

Penguins are cool! Here's a fun fact: penguins and polar bears DON'T live in the same parts of the world (polar bears live in the northern part of the world). So, if you see pictures or cartoons with penguins and polar bears together, it's not accurate! The penguin pictures you made look really fun!
